ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 Schedule, Timings

Cricket fans’ long wait is about to get over now. Only a month is left for 2019 to come. 2019 - the year of ICC Cricket World Cup. ICC Cricket World Cup will be organized in England and Wales in 2019. All 10 international teams are out in battlefield (Playground). Australia, the winner team of ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, will arrive in England to defend their “Champions” title.

ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 Schedule

World Cup 2019 will continue for a term of 46 days. The tournament will be played around 11 different world class venues with semi-finals played at Manchester and Birmingham. England ranks number one in the ODI rankings, and will face tough opening against South Africa in Oval, London. South Africa, one of the strongest teams in Cricket World Cup, have exited multiple times from Semi-Final stage. It is been around 4 times including last World Cup when they lost the match against New Zealand with four wickets.

This time the game will proceed from May 30 where England will go up against South Africa at The Oval, with Lord's hosting the final on July 14. All the 10 countries will play against each other in a round-robin format with the best four teams advancing to the semi-finals of the Cricket World Cup knockout stage. This arrangement is different from the past tournaments when 14 teams contended.

An ongoing drop in shape saw the Aussies' descend to sixth in the ODI rankings, however the five-time champions have recently overwhelmed the opposition and won four out of the last five World Cups, with only one quarter-final exit in 2011 against India.

The hardest challenge for Australia is to retain their title once again on June 9 at The Oval, while taking on India, positioned second in the ODI rankings. Aussies will then confront England on June 25 at Lord's. On June 16, India goes up against Pakistan at Manchester's Old Trafford ground, and England and India clash at Edgbaston on June 30. Another unmissable match is scheduled on June 29 when New Zealand hopes to take revenge against Australia for the defeat in 2015 final.
